In February, Huawei may introduce a new flip phone under the codename “LEM”

According to the details, Huawei is busy working on its P70 series. In addition to this, the company is also working on a new flip-foldable smartphone. The new information comes from one of the company’s distributors. Reportedly, the Flip smartphone will arrive in February. Currently, there are not many details about the new phone.

According to information, the company has codenamed the new device ‘LEM.” It might utilize a 5G Kirin chipset. In addition to this, another tipster, Fixed Focus Digital, claims that the company might unveil the new phone after the Chinese Lantern Festival. Additionally, pre-orders for the device might open on February 10, the day after the Chinese New Year.

Currently, the company has a series of foldable smartphones. These include Pocket (flip phones), X (outward folding tablets), and Xs (inward folding tablets). Although the Pocket series has two models: the P50 Pocket and the Pocket S, it was successful in gaining a 29.6% share of the Chinese foldable phone market in 2023.

In 2022, Huawei debuted the Pocket S

The Pocket S was recently introduced in 2022. With high refresh rates and wide color gamuts, the phone features a 6.9-inch main screen and a 1.04-inch outer screen. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 779G processor. It runs on the HarmonyOS system. With an RYYB sensor and f/1.8 lens, it includes a 40 MP main camera and a 13 MP ultrawide-angle camera.

The 10.7 MP sensor on the selfie camera is concealed in a punch hole. In order to provide improved cooling capabilities, the Pocket S has an ultra-thin, bendable graphite sheet. It packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for 40W fast charging. The hinge’s wing mechanism has reportedly been opened and closed 400,000 times in testing, according to the manufacturer, demonstrating its longevity.
