Infinix Smart 8 is now official in India

Infinix has debuted its Smart 8 phone in the Indian market. Notably, the smartphone is quite similar to the current Smart 8 HD, with the exception of the chipset and camera setup. In this short piece, we will focus on the key specs and price of the smartphone.

Specifications of the Infinix Smart 8

The Infinix Smart 8 features a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It offers a peak brightness of 500 nits. On the front, the smartphone features a central punch-hole camera, which Infinix refers to as the Magic Ring. Like Apple’s Dynamic Island, this function extends to a pill-shaped cutout and displays charging and status information. The fingerprint/power button is available on the side of the device.

On the back, the smartphone features a gradient design. The square-shaped camera island consists of a 50MP main camera, an auxiliary lens, and an LED flash. An 8MP camera is available on the front for selfies. The smartphone is powered by a Helio G36 processor. It arrives with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 2TB with a microSD card. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W Type-C charging. On the software end, the device runs on XOS 13-based Android 13.

Pricing and Availability of Infinix Smart 8

The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the Infinix Smart 8 is priced at Rs 7,499 in India. It is available in four colors: Shiny Gold, Timber Black Galaxy White, and Rainbow Blue. The phone will be on sale on Flipkart on January 15 at noon.
