Instagram to show “Recommended Posts” on your home feed

Instagram’s users will see recommended post while scrolling through their home feed – an update which was spotted during in testing earlier this month.

This feature will suggest you posts that have been liked by the other accounts you are following. The social networking site has labeled the new section as “Recommended for You” to easily understand that what is this section for. It will have three to five recommended posts.

Instagram isn’t offering you recommended post for the first time, But previously, to explore the suggested content you’d have to go to the Explore section to see the recommended videos and posts, which were not allowed on your home feed.

The implementation of the suggested/recommended posts is a big change for the Instagram’s users to easily explore more things in their circle. After the injection of this feature, users who are scrolling through their timeline will not only see the posts from the accounts they are following with ads but will be able to see the posts and videos from their wider social circle too. This feature is not much dissimilar from the “suggested posts” section of Facebook.
