Honor has refreshed its mid-range laptop lineup with the launch of the MagicBook X14 Plus 2025 and MagicBook X16 Plus 2025 models. Alongside updated specifications, these laptops are the first to feature Intel’s new Core 200H processor, part of the Raptor Lake Refresh architecture.
At first glance, the 2025 versions of the MagicBook X14 Plus and X16 Plus may seem similar to their predecessors, with unchanged designs and display hardware. However, the major upgrade lies in the processor. Both laptops are powered by the Intel Core 5 220H, a member of Intel’s 13th Gen Core-H series, rebranded under the Core 200H lineup.
The Core 5 220H boasts:
The Core 5 220H represents Intel’s continued refinement of its 13th Gen processors, marketed under the new Raptor Lake Refresh name. Despite the branding, these are not entirely new chips like the upcoming Arrow Lake, Lunar Lake, or Meteor Lake processors. Instead, they offer minor performance enhancements over existing 13th Gen chips, such as slightly higher clock speeds.
Honor has launched these laptops exclusively in China for now, starting at CNY 4,699 (~$645). While international availability has not yet been announced, Honor’s move to integrate the latest Intel processors may pave the way for a broader release in the future.
With the MagicBook X14 Plus 2025 and MagicBook X16 Plus 2025, Honor is combining familiar designs with the latest Intel technology to enhance performance for mid-range users. While the updates may not represent a groundbreaking leap forward, the integration of Raptor Lake Refresh processors positions these laptops as competitive options in their segment, especially for buyers in China. Global audiences, however, will need to wait for further announcements regarding availability.
