iOS 11 Features: From Apple Pay, Camera Update To 3D Touch

iOS 11 and its features were released at WWDC 2017. Now the update is available for all Apple users. We will look at its features in this article.

iOS 11 features:

1. Redesign of App Drawer feature:

App drawer feature has been redesigned in iOS 11 on Messages app. This will make it easier for users to share Apple songs or other content through the Messages App.

2. Messages Delete in All devices:

Another feature introduced in iOS11 is that if a user deletes a message on messages app it would automatically delete it from other Apple devices like iPad and Mac.

3. Apple Pay for transactions:

You can now transfer money through Apple Pay in Messages App. Open Apple Pay in your App and transfer money through credit and debit card.

4. Camera update:

Through the update 2x improved compression is offered without the quality going down. Moreover you can edit live photos. You can rotate your app to portrait or landscape while viewing a movie or photo and the Apple gadget would adjust the video automatically. Another feature added is High Efficiency Image File Format (HEIF). You can reduce size of pictures taken from iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus without compromising the quality.

5. 3D touch in control center:

The control center feature has been redesigned. It now supports 3D touch.

6. Notifications managed in Lock Screen:

All notifications are placed in one place, you can bring down notification bar and all your notifications missed and new will be found together in lock screen.

7. Indoor mall supported by Map App:

Map App will support indoor mall and airport maps. Through this map you can see which hotels are past airport security.

8. Do not disturb while driving:

To ensure drivers remain focused on road there is an option now available in iOS 11 that allows drivers to automatically turn their phones to Do Not Disturb While Driving mode. Moreover your contacts on favorite would be send a message automatically so they know where you are busy.

9. Multi room support for speakers:

Now your volume can be controlled differently while you are in different places in your home. Options in volume and speaker in your living room, kitchen is handled differently.

10. Airplay 2 in iOS 11:

Airplay is updated to Airplay 2 which has multi-room audio streaming.

11. New update on Siri:

New voice, fresh interface and icons plus new features would be part of Siri update.

Spotlight tab for Apple’s New App:

Spotlight tab is added in Apple’s News app. Today’s view would display best video of each day.

12. Improvements in Apple Music:

You can now know what your friends are listening to as well get acquainted with their playlists and music.

13. Improvements in App Store:

Today, Games, Apps, Updates and Search will be part of Apple App store. Today would mean most current content. Another feature added would be “The Daily List”. Themes selected by Apple workers would be a part of this list.
