iOS 16 Lock Screen now equipped with Google Maps and Search widgets

Since Google is also up for offering lock screen widgets for the latest iPhones and iOS, A pair of iOS 16 lock screen widgets namely Google maps and Google Search is introduced, the changes are reflected with the latest version 6.40 of Google Maps.

The search option enables the users to open the app. Inputs from the keyboard open the appropriate interface in accordance with your search. Moreover, a 2 X 1 Frequent Trips feature is also introduced. This feature updates depending on how often it is updated. It is designed to note the traffic conditions, ETA as well as location. Moreover, it allows the users to calculate the estimated time of arrival along with directions for their frequent trips. 

Furthermore, this Google app is based on five widgets. These widgets are available in two sizes either 1 X 1 or 2 X 1. 

Search, Voice Search, Lens, and Lens Shortcut are the lock screen widgets that can be accessed with Google Search. They are believed to replace Siri. 

Along with Chrome, News, Gmail, and Drive, Maps and Search serve as the new addition to Google apps available on iOS Lock Screen. Once you update your iOS, be sure to use each app at least once before accessing them from the Lock Screen. It might not work otherwise.
