iPhone 13 Pro Always On Display With 120Hz Refresh Rate

iPhone 13 Pro

The introduction of the Apple iPhone 13 is still months away, but the rumour mill is already working at full speed. In a new video, well-informed leakers usually talk about features like an always-on-display with 120Hz and minor design upgrades.

The iPhone 12 is less than four months old, and a possible iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 12s Pro has already dominated the headlines and forums of the Apple community. On the basis of forecasts by well-known leakers such as Max Weinbach via Android Police and Jon Prosser, a YouTube video from “EverythingApplePro” summarizes the current rumours about the iOS smartphone expected for autumn. The almost eleven-minute clip should be viewed with a certain amount of scepticism, as Apple does not comment on rumours in advance.

Small design upgrades, improved cameras and displays

With regard to the design of the Apple iPhone 13, the leakers expect only minimal upgrades. Most of the talk is about the matted backs of the Pro series, which are to be given a more grippy texture. It is questionable whether the company will make the so-called TrueDepth camera system at the front and thus also the notch more compact this year. There are also improvements to the ultra-wide-angle camera and a portrait function for videos in the room. However, the main focus this year should be on the display of the iPhone 13.

According to rumours, Apple could rely on a Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion and LTPO technology. The refresh rate of 120Hz and the integration of an always-on display are once again under discussion. The latter is already used in many Android smartphones to find, while Apple so far its use on the Apple Watch limited. Finally, the leakers assume that the MagSafe connection will be provided with stronger magnets. An official sign of life for the iPhone 13 Pro is expected to be a long time coming by autumn 2021.
