iPhone 13 Pro is expected to come with a 120Hz refresh rate
Apple is reportedly said to bring the new iPhone 13 Pro with a 120Hz ProMotion display.
Apple iPhone 13 is expected to premiere in September this year. The device is expected to come along with a 120Hz ProMotion display and use the low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) display. The new smartphone will not come alone but in jam-pack of the iPhone 13 series.
According to a report, Samsung and LG Display have started shifting their conversion process from LTPS to LTPO OLED panels. It is expected that this process would be completed in the first half of 2021. Moreover, Apple can also bring in China’s BOE to produce more LTPO displays.
Previously, iPhone 12 series was also expected to come with an LTPO 120Hz Promotion display. It’s rumoured that Apple was considering whether if it should feature 5G or a high refresh rate screen in its iPhone 12 series. Finally, it chose 5G over the latter. And now the company is expected to consider its new series with a high-refresh-rate iPhone display later this year.
However, the source also added that only the Pro variants are expected to get the 120Hz display; iPhone 13 and 13 mini will feature a standard 60Hz screen.
