iPhone 15 & 15 Plus passed durability test

We all know what that implies because JerryRigEverything was able to get his hands on the iPhone 15 lineup. He tried the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max a few days ago. Zack was shocked when the back glass of the iPhone 15 Pro Max broke during the bending test. It never occurs. Spoiler alert: the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus passed the tests for toughness.

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus performed admirably in JerryRigEverything’s tests of durability

During the bend test, neither of the two stock iPhone 15 devices cracked at all. Both the phones themselves and the glass were unharmed. Let’s proceed cautiously first. An 11-minute video explaining everything was released by Zack from JerryRigEverything.

He effectively conducted all his tests on the iPhone 15 because there is no difference between the two phones other than size. However, he put both phones through the bend test to see whether the larger one would crack like the iPhone 15 Pro Max did.

As usual, picks were used in the initial test to scratch the display. As with the previous generation of phones, the displays of the iPhone 15 series are shielded by ceramic shield glass. After using the level six pick and washing the glass, scratches were hardly discernible. Based on this, it appears that this protection is more scratch-resistant than what Corning provides.

The vanilla iPhone 15 model contain aluminum-based frames

Both the phone’s buttons and its frame are constructed of aluminum. He also demonstrated how the phone’s glass covers both its front and back and how well-guarded its cameras are. As usual, Zack lit the lighter and heated the display more for amusement than anything else. But as we all know, this did show us that an OLED display is indeed employed.

The fun part is about to begin: the bend test. When he exerted pressure from the front and back, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus scarcely flexed. When he stopped, they also turned around to resume their original stance. In other words, they outperformed the iPhone 15 Pro Max by a wide margin.
