iPhone 15 Pro To Offer 2TB Of Storage

When the iPhone 15 models launched in September, Apple could offer new levels of storage for the first time since the iPhone 13. According to rumors, the company wants to install 2 TB at the top for the first time and also double the base capacity.

With the iPhone 13 Pro, Apple offered a 1 TB storage option for the first time – among other things to accommodate the hunger for space of the newly introduced ProRes videos. Now there are rumors that want to be able to report on a memory upgrade for the iPhone 15 Pro based on information from supplier circles. As MacRumors writes, there were corresponding reports from Asia at the weekend.

Both on a well-known Korean blog and on the Chinese platform Weibo, the authors refer to a “source of the supplier” who has confirmed plans. Accordingly, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available with double the maximum storage capacity of the iPhone 14 Pro models. Apple would thus provide its top models with 2 TB for the first time.

Furthermore, the storage options below could also be reordered. It is “probable” that the Pro models will start with at least 256 GB of storage space, which would also double the 128 GB currently offered in the base model. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max would then be available with the following storage tiers: 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB.

Upgrade With Low Costs

There have been rumors for a long time that Apple is planning a price increase of around 100 US dollars for its Pro models. More memory could be one of the arguments that justify this move in front of customers. In addition, the prices for memory modules have fallen significantly, which could also make the upgrade economically interesting for Apple.
