iPhone 17 Rumors: High Refresh Rate and Larger Screens Across the Lineup

Recent leaks from a Chinese digital blogger suggest that Apple plans to make significant upgrades in its upcoming iPhone 17 series. The key highlights include:

  1. Display Upgrades:
    • Apple is set to eliminate 60Hz LTPS OLED screens entirely, replacing them with LTPO OLED panels across all models.
    • The base model will feature a larger 6.27-inch screen (approximately 6.3 inches), while the Pro version may expand to 6.9 inches.
    • All models will support a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, marking the first time the base model will offer a high-refresh-rate experience.
  2. Design Variations:
    • Standard Version: Retains the classic flat-edge frame with a vertical dual-camera setup.
    • Air Version: Features a unique elongated “racetrack” rear camera module.
    • Pro Version: Adopts a horizontal large matrix lens design, emphasizing advanced imaging capabilities.
  3. iPhone 16e Launch:
    • Apple recently introduced the iPhone 16e, starting at 4,499 yuan (reduced to 3,999 yuan with subsidies).
    • Key features include the A18 chip, a self-developed 5G modem, a 48MP single rear camera, and a 6.06-inch 60Hz OLED display with a notch.

If these rumors hold true, the iPhone 17 series will be Apple’s first lineup to fully embrace high-refresh-rate displays, further solidifying its position in the premium smartphone market. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16e aims to attract budget-conscious users by filling a gap in Apple’s mid-range offerings.
