iQOO Z7i is introduced as the first smartphone powered by Dimesnity 6020

Today, Vivo has unveiled the first smartphone powered with an entry-level Dimensity 6020 chipset. It is the first smartphone that is fueled by this chipset.

Dimensity 6020

The Dimensity 6020 from MediaTek is built on a 7nm process. It is intended to fuel the next-gen of 5G entry-level smartphones. Reportedly, the chipset has an octa-core CPU. It consists of:

  • two big Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2 GHz
  • six Cortex-A55 units clocked at 2 GHz
  • Mali-G57 is the GPU

The new chip has support for both LPDDR4X RAM as well as UFS 2.2 storage. The ISP provided on the chipset can provide support to 64MP cameras. Besides this, it has the capacity to offer FullHD+ displays having a 120Hz refresh rate.

Other features of the iQOO Z7i

In particular, the iQOO Z7i is introduced with a 6.51” LCD having 720p resolution. It features 128GB storage that is expandable via microSD cards. The smartphone has three different options for RAM i.e., 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB. The smartphone holds two cameras on the back. The camera island consists of a 13MP f/2.2 main shooter and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. A front selfie camera with a 5MP sensor is provided inside the waterdrop notch. The smartphone is based on OriginOS Ocean on top of Android 13. It has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W charging speeds.

Pricing and availability

The iQOO Z7i is offered in two color options i.e., Moon Shadow Black and Ice Lake Blue. The price details of the different variant of the iQOO Z7i are as follow:

  • 4/128 GB variant costs CNY949 ($137/€128)
  • 6/128 GB is available for CNY999 ($145/€135)
  • 8/128 GB is priced at CNY 1,099 ($160/€150)

The smartphone will be available for sale from March 20 onwards. Vivo will officially introduce the other members of the Z7 series on March 20.
