January Security Patch For Pixel Released: Fixes Pixel Audio, App Restart Others

Google has started rolling out January Security Patch for Google Pixel devices yesterday, according to the details, Google has fixed various issues in all pixel devices including Pixel 4, Pixel 4a, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, Pixel 4a 5G, and Pixel 5. According to 9to5Mac Google is not releasing security updates for Pixel 2 devices after the last December patch.

The patch will definitely fix the security issues in the above-mentioned pixel devices but it will also fix Audio issues that were fined in Google Pixel 5 and Google Pixel 4a. Another issue that was causing the app to restart suddenly was also fixed in this update along with unable to connect with MVNO Network.

Xda-developers has listed the issues that are fixed along with the devices which cut the whole story short, however, 9to5Google explains that Google has fixed almost 22 issues in the patch, the vulnerabilities related ranging from high risk to critical, the most important ones were related to the media framework and a remote attacker.

Google has not listed any notable fixes for the Pixel devices but the major focus remained on fixing the Android platform, vendor components and Linux Kernel, the details of the fixes are listed below in the image:
