Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board held the 4th Digital Youth Summit to help create new opportunities

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board - Digital Youth Summit 2017

As of the rising demand in the fields of information technology, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board is formulating new realms to help provide the best futuristic opportunities to the people. A 3-day Digital Youth Summit (DYS) 2017 initiated its roadmap for the fourth time in the province to bring the young talent upfront.

This year the Digital Youth Summit (DYS) partnered with the World Bank and Jazz along with the province’s all Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (K-PITB).

The government of KPK is darn serious to make the province an example for the rest. Earlier, the government took measures to reform the education system of the province. The results were marvelous. Those abusing the system of education were cornered. While students got a better chance to focus on their future.

On the occasion of the fourth Digital Youth Summit 2017, Dr. Shahbaz Khan, MD K-PITB said:

K-P takes digital opportunities for our people very seriously and want to be a leader in technology. This strategy, through sound policies and reforms, will set a roadmap for us and we shall announce initiatives to support this over the next few days

The digital strategies run and created by the K-PITB would help the young minds to broaden their vision as of the intervention of bodies like the World Bank, the government, and other private sectors.

Dr. Shahbaz has the vision to expand this small step further to equip everyone with the latest technology and knowledge of the time.

Talking to the summit, Patchamuthu Illangovan, Country Director the World Bank said:

Digital economy is the future. Over 80% of Pakistan’s population is offline. Closing this gap will create new job opportunities for the millions entering the labour force

The DYS 2017 started May 5, on Friday in Peshawar.
