Leak: Nvidia To Release GeForce RTX 3060 Ti On November 17

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060

With the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, Nvidia could soon position itself in the upper-middle class and expand its graphics card portfolio downwards. According to current rumors, the GPU release seems to be imminent. It should be ready on November 17th.

Not only are the flagships Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 being torn from the hands of the US chip manufacturer, but the recently introduced RTX 3070 was also sold out after a few hours. As the Chinese blog MyDrivers reports, the market launch of the long-awaited GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, which could be in the price range below 400 US dollars, should also be imminent. The starting shot is supposed to be given on November 17th. According to the colleagues from Videocardz, the inventory should match that of the RTX 3070, which is why a quick sell-out can be expected here too.

The first specifications of the RTX 3060 Ti are already known

Leaked technical data certify the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti a GA104-200 GPU with 4864 CUDA cores and eight-gigabyte GDDR6 video memory. In addition, there is talk of clock rates between 1410 and 1665 MHz and theoretical performance of up to 16.2 TFLOPS. The power consumption, however, could be around 180 watts. The specified specifications can be found in a public, albeit anonymous, entry in Techpowerup’s GPU-Z database. However, the key figures have not yet been officially confirmed. With a possible launch of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti on November 17th, Nvidia would take over the period in which AMD also wants to place its new Radeon RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT Big Navi graphics cards on the market.

While AMD will compete with Nvidia’s high-end GPUs, the RTX 3060 Ti is likely to trump the in-house RTX 2070 in particular and, with its improved ray tracing performance, compete for market share with the cheaper RDNA cards from the AMD Radeon RX 5000 series. Until then, the rumors about the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti should be viewed with a certain amount of skepticism.
