The OnePlus 9 series has been making rounds of leaks and rumors for some time now providing us fairly useful information about the upcoming device. The company is reportedly launching three smartphones this time, with the OnePlus 9 Pro at the top of devices, followed by the standard OnePlus 9 and allegedly Lite version named OnePlus 9E. We also came across recently about the OnePlus 9 Pro’s Hasselblad camera which showed some leaked renders unveiling overall design, display properties, camera UI, and more.
OnePlus 9 Pro information is leaked now by a notorious leakster Max Jambor. He has teased some useful information about the device. According to Max, the OnePlus 9 Pro variant will feature a new technology LTPO display instead of the standard LTPS AMOLED panel used by the earlier models.
LTPO display technology is not new though but new for OnePlus 9 Pro fairly, the technology was Popularized by the Apple Watch lineup, the LTPO display technology is fast gaining steam in the smartphone world. It’s already found on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra as well, and the upcoming iPhone 13 series is also rumoured to have it on all three models. OnePlus obviously wouldn’t wish to lag behind its peers in this important area. Low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO for short) OLED panels are considered superior to the current LTPS OLED panels used by most phones. They draw less power and also support adaptive refresh rates without needing additional hardware.
