LG introduces Apple TV, Apple Music, and Other Apple Features to webOS TVs
The company LG has announced that it has added support for various Apple apps across its webOS Hub. Reportedly, the company has introduced several Apple apps as well as features to different brands of televisions. The brands that run the webOS Hub on their televisions have received support for the latest development.
The smart TVs based on the webOS Hub ecosystem will offer the users access to Apple TV and the Apple Music app. Additionally, they will gain access to AirPlay and HomeKit devices as well. It won’t require the connection of an Apple TV set-top box or any other hardware.
The company LG announced the latest development via a press release. In the press release the company stated that by introducing the Apple TV app, Apple Music, AirPlay, and HomeKit on its webOS Hub, the company has polished as well as enlarged the platform. On the other hand, the company has improved accessibility in order to provide consumers with the best user experience. The company added that it has extended its portfolio of customization options to smart TV companies. It provides the users with convenience and a selection of content. The webOS Hub is now available across 10 times more brands than it was previously available in early 2021.
More than 200 TV brands have the support for this implementation. The TV brands that run webOS Hub are Stream System, Konka, Aiwa, Seiki, Eko, and Hyundai. On the other hand, the company has not shared any detailed list of eligible TVs. However, it has only been mentioned that the TV models based on 4K UHD and OLED that run webOS Hub 2.0 will receive the support for AirPlay and HomeKit.
