LinkedIn Users Reach 610 million in June 2019

LinkedIn is one of the most popular professional platforms in the world, by gradually adding the users base into its system now LinkedIn Users Reach 610 million in June 2019.

Microsoft bought LinkedIn in 2016 on June 13 for $26.2 billion, LinkedIn had 433million users at that time. In three years, LinkedIn has added 177 million users making it 59 million new users every year, Bloomberg reported. LinkedIn has seen 48.88% growth in user base over three years which is a good sign for the company and Microsoft.

However, LinkedIn was unable to grow as fast as other social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, but this could be because of interest and usage as well, LinkedIn is highly professional platform which focuses on professional connectivity, jobs, projects, and recruitment, and professional networking, hence, the usage of the platform is not as much as other entertaining platforms.

LinkedIn had 500,000 users in April 2004 which grew to 10 million in 2007, by October 2009 users reached 50 million and 100 million in the next two years. LinkedIn accounted for 200, 300 and 400 million users in the years 2013, 2014 and 2015. It has 433 million users when Microsoft bought it in June 2016 which grew to 500 million in the following year.
