Recently, three new smartphones were introduced by Meizu after a long pause of one and a half years. The company unveiled the Meizu 20 series. Some recent pieces of information indicate that the company is not intended to stop here. Rather, Meizu is planning to introduce a clamshell foldable.

Well, if this is the case then it would be the company’s first foldable smartphone. Last month, the vice president of the company assured that the company will debut a foldable by the end of this year. Some rumors suggest that it would be rather a flip phone. Some patent designs were shared online that indicate the design of the smartphone in the form of a sketch. The images unveil that the smartphone will have flat sides. Furthermore, the device will be presented with a gapless design when folded.

Well, the design appears similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 4. It could be made out of glass and metal like most devices. Besides this, there is no detail regarding the specs. There is a likelihood of powerful specifications, however, things will unveil with time.

Back in 2022, Meizu was acquired by Geely

During the last year, Meizu was acquired by Geely. Geely is a company that owns Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, and several other companies. Now, Meizu is planning a comeback in the market. It is good since it will enhance the competition. Because back then, the company had experienced immense growth. It was some wrong decisions that turned down the company.
