Microsoft 365 Outage Reported Worldwide Disrupting Web Apps

Microsoft is once again having massive problems with the Microsoft 365 service. It appears to be an outage that is blocking access to web applications such as Outlook, Excel Online, and other services worldwide.

Lots of error messages for Outlook

This emerges from various user reports. The sudden massive increase in user complaints can be clearly seen on the Downdetector page. Most of the error reports were for Outlook.

According to the report by Windows Central, there are also restrictions on Office and OneDrive. Microsoft has not yet commented on the problems. At X/Twitter, however, the Microsoft 465 service account has been quiet for months.

The Microsoft 365 service status page states that all services are running normally, although there are still reports of outages. You read about problems, especially on social networks and in the relevant forums. However, Windows Central suspects that there is already a fix and that the offers are now running smoothly again for more people than there are error messages.

List of affected services

The list of affected services includes the entire Microsoft 365 suite, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Yammer Enterprise, Planner, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 for the web, according to those affected.

Some customers are reportedly experiencing issues sending and receiving emails, logging in to their Microsoft account, and saving to apps. Users can’t view or access web apps in Microsoft 365. Some of those affected report that they see corresponding error messages, while for others the web app displays simply remain blank. We will have to be patient until there is something new.
