Microsoft Bing web traffic has increased by 15.8% since the release of GPT-4

OpenAI has recently introduced GPT-4. Since its release, the web traffic on Microsoft Bing has been reported being increased. As per recent information, the visits to the web page has been increased by 15.8%.

The company Microsoft has granted Bing access to users who signed up and joined a waitlist as of February 7. Since then, the company has granted access to Bing to millions of users across the world. In the meantime, Google has released Bard just a few days ago.

The recent integration of GPT-4 into Bing has enhanced the web traffic on Microsoft. Well, now the company has to retain its user base. As Bing has less than a tenth of Google’s market share, even a conversion rate of 1% or 2% will considerably benefit both Microsoft and Bing, told Gil Luria, an analyst at D.A. Davidson & Co (an investment banking company) Reuters.

Increased traffic and page views suggest that Microsoft will eventually become better at online search and ad business. It is the domain in which Google is the key player. As per the information from Similarweb (a data analytics firm), the age visits of Google have dropped by one percent in the timeframe of February 7 to March 20. Well, it is difficult to attribute this drop to Bing. It will be pretty interesting to find out how things turn out in the future given the fact that Bard is also available.
