Microsoft Flight Simulator: More Details About New Updates

Microsoft Flight Simulator developers are updating their roadmap and announcing new details about the game’s upcoming Sim and World updates. There are delays, so players get nothing in August, but benefit twice in September. In another question-and-answer session on Twitch, Jörg Neumann, head of Microsoft Flight Simulator, and the developers of France’s Asobo Studios confirmed several issues with Sim Update 10, originally scheduled for late August, mainly related to PC performance.

The update is expected to be delayed by two weeks and will only improve the performance of DirectX 12, integrate Nvidia’s DLSS technology, and fix a large number of bugs by mid-September.

World Update for America’s Great White North

Despite the delays in Sim Update 10, the upcoming World Update 11 should stay on track. Microsoft reveals in advance where the trip will go – Canada. After the developers have polished up the graphics of landscapes, cities, and landmarks in the United States several times, the American neighbor to the north is now getting the long-awaited fresh cell cure.

This also means that players can look forward to two updates in September. Finally, as part of the two-year anniversary of its Flight Simulator 2020, Microsoft is releasing the Beechcraft Bonanza V35 as a new “Local Legend” aircraft, which is now available on the game’s in-game marketplace. It is a single-engine, four-seat V-tail monoplane that was only produced between 1966 and 1967.

The machine reaches a cruising speed of 326 kilometers per hour and has a maximum range of 1448 kilometers. The price for the new Bonanza is 14.99 euros. Likewise, there are over 49 other products on the market. Includes new landing challenges (missions) submitted by third-party providers. Updates are also available for the Airbus A321 Neo, the F-35 Lightning II, and various airports.
