Microsoft is now integrating ‘To Do’ into Outlook for all

Microsoft has integrated the To-Do task app into Outlook in a new update. From now on, the to-do application is accessible to every user in the current Office 365 channel via the left navigation bar in Outlook. More precisely, this affects all Office 365 users from version 2207 – this is the latest stable version that is accessible to everyone.

Microsoft has announced that. In a new Post in the tech community Microsoft executive Avijit Yadav explains the benefits of the changes. Microsoft hopes that integrating the Tasks app directly into Outlook for Windows will help with day-to-day work. One can “effectively plan engagements and focus on the tasks at hand,” Yadav said in the blog post. In addition, the development team hopes to make more users aware of the tool.

New place in the navigation bar

The integration of To Do in Outlook has already been tested by Microsoft in the beta version of the app and distributed to the first users. Now it is open to everyone. After the update, the Tasks icon appears on the left side of the Outlook navigation bar.

The To Do integration goes beyond simply displaying tasks in Outlook. Microsoft has made sure that emails classified as important are automatically added to the to-do list. In addition, To Do can be used to create a daily plan that acts as an individual task view. If you don’t see the integration yet, check which version is in use.
