Microsoft is reportedly going to release two Xbox gaming consoles: a high-end system that will resemble the Xbox Series X and a portable, dockable system that will resemble the Nintendo Switch or the Steam Deck. This information comes from MAGG of the XNC Podcast. Additionally, Microsoft may release the two game consoles by the end of 2026.
There have been recent reports suggesting that Microsoft intends to release some of the Xbox exclusive games; such as Gear of War, Hellblade 2, and Starfield on the Sony PlayStation soon. According to those rumours, Microsoft may soon be getting out of the console market since fewer consumers will purchase an Xbox if the exclusive titles are released on rival platforms. The problem wasn’t made any better by the language of a recent X/Twitter post from Xbox Head Phil Spencer.
However, based on the most recent information provided by MAGG, it appears like Microsoft has no intention of quitting the console business anytime soon. Microsoft has approved the development of multiple Xbox devices, according to a recent claim by Jez Corden from Windows Central. This indicates that Microsoft is unlikely to withdraw from the console business very soon. But until the business releases an official statement, we are unable to make any firm statements.
