Microsoft Office 2019 Releasing In 2018

Microsoft is releasing the next version of Microsoft Office next year. Office 2019 will be launched in second half of 2018. The new version Microsoft 2019 will have Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with Skype for Business and Exchange.

Cloud will be the central element in the new version. The company knows that not all its users are using the cloud but this version is specifically for those who are already working in the cloud or are moving towards it.

The new features include a set of new formulas and charts of Excel users, improved & new inking options along with visual animation for presentations.  In PowerPoint morph and zoom, animation features will be added.  Office 2019 focus is mainly on IT manageability, usability, voice and security for server updates.

Now the pricing is not yet revealed but the shipping of this new updated version of Microsoft will start in mid-2018. Since Office 2016, this will be the major release by Microsoft.

Microsoft is trying to innovate and push itself ahead in technology with releasing new better version of the software. Microsoft names Office 2019 a suite of ‘perpetual’ apps as users will pay for the apps with just one-time fee instead of an ongoing subscription.

In a blog, post-Microsoft said, “Office 2019 will be a valuable upgrade for customers who feel that they need to keep some or all of their apps and servers on-premises, and we look forward to sharing more details about the release in the coming months.”

Jared Spataro General Manager at Microsoft said,” Office 2019 will add the new user and IT capabilities for customers who aren’t yet ready for the cloud. For example, new and improved inking features—like pressure sensitivity, tilt effects, and ink replay—will allow you to work more naturally. New formulas and charts will make data analysis for Excel more powerful. Visual animation features—like Morph and Zoom—will add polish to PowerPoint presentations. Server enhancements will include updates to IT manageability, usability, voice, and security.”
