Microsoft sets the date for the developer conference at the end of May 24

Microsoft just announced the date for this year’s Build developer conference. The software company invites you to Build 2022 at the end of May but wants to go without a live audience again this year. Instead of a major conference in Seattle or Los Angeles, as was common in the years before the coronavirus outbreak, Microsoft wants to focus again exclusively on the online orientation of the Build developer conference in 2022. Build 2022 will once again take place as a pure streaming event from May 24 to 26.

Again only an online event due to Corona

Microsoft again cites the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic as a reason for not having a live audience. The company apparently does not want to take any risks, also because the so-called omicron variant of the new coronavirus has now also become dominant in the United States and is leading to more and more infections.

Microsoft had already decided for the past two years to organize Build as a purely online event. The group recently moved to an even greater focus on content for developers, most of whom were also concerned with the tools they use. Registration for the online version of Build 2022, which will probably be free to access again, will be possible from the end of April, Microsoft reports on its website. The themes of the event are not yet known.

With Inspire 2022, another partner event has already been announced for July, which will also take place completely online and without a live audience. It is not yet clear whether it will be another live event with an audience for the IT-Pro conference Ignite 2022, which will probably take place in November.
