Microsoft Tests New Dark Mode For Office Apps On Android

Microsoft is now starting the test of a new dark mode for the Office for Android app. In the first Insider Preview, you can now see how the new Dark Mode adapts to the document overview and to Android itself.

A new Office Insider Preview for Android users has recently become available for testing. The new Office Insider Preview build is numbered 16.0.14701.20036 and comes with one major change and numerous improvements. Most importantly, Preview now adds a dark mode to the document overview in the Office app. In addition, the Office mobile app now offers a new feature called Eagle Eye view, which allows you to view all active documents at once. Then, this new view mode also lets you effortlessly move content back and forth between these documents.

Anyone who wants to can test along

According to the currently known release notes, the new Office build does not contain any further changes. In the beta versions, however, many corrections are inserted, which are under the hood and are not published. We have translated the list of changes for you and added it at the end of the post. Those who use an Android smartphone and Office can still participate in the preview and test the app previews at any time. Information about the Office Insider Program can be found on a special Microsoft page.
