More Leaks About the Upcoming Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Made to the Screens

Xiaomi is prepping up to introduce the new Mi Pad 5 in a few weeks (months to be accurate). And yet, we hear leaks from tipsters and not the company.

According to the Chinese Weibo leakster, DCS, this Xiaomi tablet will use a right-angled edge design similar to Apple’s iPad Pro. This device will probably use a very thin and light body.

Xiaomi previously confirmed that this device would launch in the second half of the year. But did not mention the exact timeframe of the release. However, according to a tipster, this table will premiere in August. Earlier, we also heard that this device would launch in July in China.

Moreover, we also learned that this Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 would actually have two variants – the basic version and the Pro version. The basic version is speculated to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, while the upper model will come with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. There is one more rumor that claims that there will be another version with a Snapdragon 860 chip. However, it does not come from a very reliable source.

Then we also heard that these Pads would support 2K + 120Hz, 4096-level touch, and In-Cell active pen technology. The tablet will have a built-in 4260 mAh dual-cell battery (equivalent to 8720 mAh). The screen ratio will be 16:10, and the resolution will be 2560 × 1600.

Talking about the camera, we expect a 20MP + 13MP dual rear configuration. However, another speculation claims that there will be a 48MP primary camera. The thickness of this device will be 8.13mm with a weight of 510g.

The starting price of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is expected to be around 2999 yuan ($468).
