More than half of the materials for the Pixel 7 Pro come from Samsung components

Google has introduced the Pixel phone in the market for a while now. But do you know from where most of the components used in Pixel 7 Pro come? Recently some new information emerged that highlights the information about the components used in Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Reportedly, the components utilized in Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro is made by Samsung. The smartphones utilize the display panel, connectivity components, and camera sensors manufactured by Samsung.

Recently, a new report emerged from the platform of Counterpoint Research [a market research firm]. This report unveils the dependency of Google on the South Korean tech firm. As per this report, the mmWave version of the Pixel 7 Pro utilizes the LPTO OLED screen produced by Samsung Display. In addition to this, the smartphone displays the ISOCELL camera sensors manufactured by Samsung’s System LSI. These camera sensors are utilized on the front as well as on the back side of the smartphone.

The connectivity components consist of a baseband, power trackers, and transceivers. When it comes to connectivity components, all these components are supplied by Samsung. These components are specifically designed to cater to the requirements of the sub-6Hz bands utilized in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Furthermore, the tech firm Samsung also supplies the mmWzve 5G parts manufactured in collaboration with Murata. Moreover, smartphones utilize the PMIC components made by Samsung. These components are used for power management and audio.

Besides these, some other components utilized in the Pixel 7 Pro are manufactured by a number of companies. For instance, the semiconductor wing of Samsung provides the RAM, and the Foundry unit deals with supplying the Tensor G2 chipset. Similarly, ALT provides battery cells, NXP provides wired charging, IDT supplies wireless charging, and Sunwoda Electronics supplies battery packaging. Whereas NAND Flash Storage is supplied by SK Hynix, and SEMCO provides the rear camera module.
