Motorola has officially introduced the Edge 30 Pro. The flagship is a real beast, with specs that are as competitive as the price. The datasheet ranges from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to the 68-watt charging function. Find out everything you need to know in this post.
Initially, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro was announced in China in late 2021 as the Motorola Edge X30. The spec sheet hasn’t really changed since then. Like the Oppo Find X5 Pro, it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and also with a revised desktop mode (Wireless Ready For). The Edge 20 Pro has a 68W charger, which Motorola claims will give you a half-charged battery in 15 minutes. It also has a fingerprint reader integrated into the display and a 6.7-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Motorola has opted for a unique sensor combination for the camera module: the two main sensors offer 50 megapixels for wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle shots, while the latter is also suitable for macro shots. The third lens on the back houses a 2MP depth sensor.
Motorola promises faster-focusing thanks to 32 times more pixels, both in daylight and in night shots. Like its competitors’ Android phones, the Moto Edge 30 Pro uses a Quad Pixel feature to combine the lighting information from four different pixels into one final pixel. The binning feature applies to both the rear camera and the selfie shooter, which has an impressive 60-megapixel resolution.
The new Motorola Edge 30 Pro will be available in Cosmos Blue and Stardust White colors. After the smartphone was already launched in China under a different name, it should also be available in Europe from the beginning of March. For the flagship is 799.99 euros owed. By the way, a little later there will be a special utensil among the accessories: a stylus! There is no exact date for the pen yet, so expect mid-March. We also know that there will also be a matching cover that offers space for the stylus next to the smartphone.
