Streaming giant Netflix has discovered a new industry for itself: restaurants. From the end of June, a pop-up restaurant will open in Los Angeles, which will serve dishes and drinks from well-known cooking shows on Netflix.
Cooking shows are also one of the most popular TV formats in the USA, so it is not surprising that Netflix is also broadly positioned in this area. For the first time, the group is now offering the opportunity to try some of the dishes shown in its popular cooking shows in one place.
Beginning June 30, 2023, the company will open the “Netflix Bites” restaurant in Los Angeles. It is a limited-time “pop-up” restaurant located at the Short Stories Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
In Netflix Bites there should be the possibility, in shows like “Chef’s Table”, “Iron Chef”, “Nadya Bakes” and “Nailed It!” to have the dishes shown prepared by some of the cooks and confectioners represented there. A “special tasting menu” should be created, thanks to which you can try out “tasteful bites of their unique specialties”.
On top of that, custom cocktails will be offered by “mixologists” who appeared in another Netflix show called “Drink Masters”. Specifically, celebrity chefs Curtis Stone, Dominique Crenn, Rodney Scott, Ming Tsai, Ann Kim, Jacques Torres, and Andrew Zimmer will be represented with “Bites”, while pastry chef Nadiya Hussain will also contribute culinary creations.
Guests wishing to dine at Netflix Bites must make a reservation in advance, which is $25 but will be deducted from the total bill. The restaurant is open every day from 5 pm to 10 pm but offers a brunch menu on weekends from 10 am to 2 pm.
