Netflix price increase imposed In The US and Canada

The streaming provider has now increased its prices for all subscription plans. If you previously paid $8.99 for the basic subscription in the USA, you will now be paying $9.99. With the standard subscription, the price increases from $13.99 to $15.49. The premium plan with 4K support now even costs $19.99 instead of $17.99 previously. In Canada, prices have been adjusted accordingly.

Wait and see what happens in Europe

The new price model could also follow in Europe – but that’s not official. There is currently no information about this. “We’re updating our prices so we can continue to offer a wide variety of quality entertainment options,” a Netflix spokesperson told the Reuters news agency. “As always, we offer a range of plans so members can choose a price that fits their budget.” When Netflix started streaming movies and series more than ten years ago, you only paid $7.99. More subscription plans were added later. Prices have been rising rapidly, especially since the end of 2017.
