New Adventure of the Castlevania makers started

505 Games and the developer Mercury Steam (Castlevania: Lords of Shadow) published the Action Adventure Blades of Fire. The game wants to entertain with an open fantasy world, a tactical combat system and comprehensive adaptation options. At the start of the adventure, the official launch trailer is now available for access.

From blacksmith to the warrior

Blades of Fire tells the story of Aran de Lira. The king’s son actually leads a withdrawn life as a blacksmith, but now has to break up on a fateful journey to overthrow the evil Queen Nerea. This has worked a spell through which any metal has turned into stone in the kingdom – except for the steel of her demonic army.

Tactical battles, comprehensive blacksmithing system

A special feature of Blades of Fire is the combat system, which relies on tactical battles with more than 50 different types of opponents. Players can target certain parts of the body of their enemies, and the choice of weapon is also crucial to break through enemy armor. The game offers seven different weapon families and more than 30 forging, with which players can refine their forging and make individual weapons.

Aran de Lira is also not alone on his adventure: his companion AdSO does not actively participate in the fights. Instead, he analyzes the weaknesses of the enemies and can give valuable tips. Blades of Fire is now available for PC (exclusively in the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
