New Mac Pro from Apple Features M2 Ultra Chip, Additional Ports, and More

We have already heard about Apple releasing a new Mac Pro at WWDC. Well yesterday at the WWDC event, the Cupertino-based tech firm upgraded its Mac Pro desktop tower with the all-new M2 Ultra chip. As per recent pieces of information, the new desktop power now features a 24-core CPU and a 76-core GPU. In addition to this, it supports 192GB of memory. The company states that the latest Mac Pro is three times faster in contrast to the fastest Intel-based Mac Pro.

When it comes to design, the overall design of the new Mac Pro is the same as the Intel-based model. However, the updated desktop tower now features 8 Thunderbolt 4 ports in contrast to 4 ports, seven PCIe expansion slots, dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, two higher-bandwidth HDMI ports, and a headphone jack. The HDMI ports support an 8k display at 240Hz whereas impedance headphones are supported by the headphone jack. Users can configure their computers with up to 8TB of SSD storage.

Similar to the new Mac Studio, and the recent MacBook Pro and Mac Mini models, the Mac Pro features support for Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E. users can place their orders for the new Mac Pro. The device is set to launch in stores by Tuesday, June 13. It is available for $6,999 in the US. In contrast, the previous model of Mac Pro provided by Intel was priced at $5,999. Whereas the rack-mounted version of Mac Pro is priced at $7,499.
