New update for FritzBox 7590 (AX) & 7530 is here
AVM is now equipping the three DSL routers FritzBox 7590, 7590 AX and 7530 with a new laboratory firmware. The update promises, among other things, improvements when connecting to external modems and for WireGuard VPN connections with LAN-LAN couplings.
New firmware for AVM’s DSL FritzBoxes
While the Berlin-based IT company presented a range of new FritzBoxes, Fritz!Repeaters and smart home products at the International Radio Exhibition (IFA 2024), the company continues to supply the Fritz Lab with new test versions of FritzOS 7.90. Another update for the FritzBox 7590, 7590 AX and 7530 is currently available for download. In addition to the new firmware for DSL routers, the cable models for cable Internet connections and fiber optic FritzBoxes are also expected to be supplied with the latest patch in the coming days.
The new fine-tuning patch fixes problems with incorrect display of port forwarding when using external modems and routers, with date formats in the online monitor, DNS name resolutions in relation to WireGuard LAN-LAN couplings and with WLAN problems during DFS examination in the 5 GHz band. In addition, there are the usual improvements for system stability and minor bug fixes, as in the Change log can be read. The final release of FritzOS 7.90 is also expected soon. Finally, AVM is already using the IFA 2024 for the first presentation of the upcoming FritzOS 8.0, which requires space in the laboratory. New FritzOS 7.90 laboratory – as of September 4, 2024:

How to get the AVM Lab update
