Nokia G42 5G and Nokia G310 5G will arrive with the same specs

Some recent pieces of information suggest that Nokia is working on a new mid-range smartphone. Perhaps there could be two smartphones with different names for different markets. As per the information, the company might introduce the Nokia G310 5G for the US market, whereas the Nokia G42 5G might be reserved for other markets.

The Nokia G42 5G has been appearing on the internet since the end of last month. Besides this, the device has appeared in a retail listing as well as on Geekbench. Recently, the unannounced smartphone has been showcased on the Bluetooth SIG website with comprehensive specs. The listing also verifies the existence of the Nokia G310 5G, which has been rebranded for the US market.

As per the information from Nokiamob.net, the Bluetooth SIG certification includes three different model numbers. Reportedly, the TA-1573 is for the Nokia G310 5G whereas the model numbers TA-1581 and TA-1591 refer to the Nokia G42 5G. Interestingly, the two devices are merely the same with no difference at all.

Features of the Nokia G42 5G and Nokia G310 5G

The display of both smartphones is a 6.56-inch HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) display, Both feature a 90Hz refresh rate. Both feature a central V-shaped notch on the front. The smartphones feature a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 panel for added protection. The brightness specs include 400 nits of minimum brightness, 450 nits of typical brightness, and 560 nits of maximum brightness.

Both smartphones are fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480+ 5G processor. The smartphones will come with 4GB and 6GB RAM options and 128GB storage. For the graphics, Adreno 619 GPU is provided. The smartphones are powered with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 20W fast wired charging. Other connectivity features include FM, Bluetooth 5.1, and dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz). The devices may come in two color options i.e., Grey and Purple colors. They will feature Android 13 out of the box. The US version might also feature NFC.
