Nokia new flagship Phoenix would be based on Snapdragon 710 processor
Though there are not many details about the HMD Global Nokia’s new flagship, probably scheduled to be unveiled Autumn/Winter 2018 but the new leaks started providing jigsaw pieces and by the launch date we would be able to build the whole picture in front of us. Until then what we can see is the major change in processor adoption.
The new Nokia has a codename “Phoenix” according to a notorious leaker Roland Quandt, also the phone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 700 series the most powerful chip to date Snapdragon SDM710.
Google’s upcoming phone dubbed “Bonito” will also have this SDM710 chip inside according to Roland. Snapdragon 700 series would be the next level in SoCs, the speed and performance of the phone are said to be extraordinary.
It is also being assumed that new Nokia will be Nokia 7.1 plus, but for now, the SoC and the code name is confirmed. Nokia has launched a couple of remarkable handsets in the market, the Nokia 7 Plus, and Nokia 8 Sirocco, were two classy additions. Nokia seems to be focusing more on the very high-end market now, the company is going to compete Galaxy, Google and Apple high-end devices.
HMD/Nokia Mobile is working on a Snapdragon 710 based device to be released in the autumn/winter 2018 timeframe. Codename is "Phoenix". Oh and btw, the Google SDM710 based device apparently is called "Bonito".
