Nokia XR20 Comes with 5G Support and Promises 4 Years of Updates

Nokia just released its new Nokia XR20 with a rugged casing. This rugged device is MIL-STD810H-certified to resist drops from 1.8 meters. The smartphone is built ” to last both in hardware and in software.”

This new Nokia XR20 features standard IP68 water and dust resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus. The device comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS LCD with up to 550 nits, working with wet fingers or gloves.

Under the hood, we get the Snapdragon 480 chipset clubbed with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device also supports 5G connectivity.

Talking about its camera, we get a dual-camera setup with the primary sensor of 48MP 1/2.25-inch f/1.8 and a supporting 13MP 1/3-inch f/2.4 ultrawide unit. Each camera sensor has its own LED flash. On the front, we get an 8MP f/2.0 fixed-focus unit.

The Nokia XR20 runs Android 11. The company has ensured 4-years of monthly security updates and 3-years of major OS updates.

The whole unit is powered by a 4,630mAh unit. Nokia claims the battery could last for up to two days. This smartphone support 18W of wired and 15W of wireless charging.

Other notable features of this Nokia smartphone include stereo speakers rated at up to 96dB with OZO playback technology, a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner, and more.

The Nokia XR20 would be available in Ultra Blue and Granite Grey. The device has a retail price of $550 and would start selling by August 24.
