Shortly before the official launch of Nothing Phone 3 on July 1, complete render images have now appeared. The leaks show an unusual camera layout and the new “Glyph Matrix”, which replaces the previous glyph lighting of the series.
The British brand Nothing causes a stir shortly before the launch of its new flagship smartphone. After the company has been teased in small excerpts for weeks, now from Android headlines Full render images leaked through. The pictures show a design that is unconventional even for emergency relationships. The unusual camera layout is particularly striking. The three sensors are arranged asymmetrically, with the upper sensor-a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens-is clearly set off by the rest of the camera module. This placement close to the edge of the device ensures mixed reactions in the tech community. Instead of the well-known “glyph”, the render images show a new “glyph matrix” in the upper right corner of the back.
This follows the Nothing Phone 3 of a design language similar to the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro presented a few months ago, but goes one step further. In all likelihood, the device will be available in black and white and will retain the transparent back for Nothing.
Technically, Phone 3 offers some interesting upgrades, but also compromises. It is driven by Snapdragon 8S Gen 4 – a decision that causes discussions because many fans had expected the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite for a “real flagship”. Nothing CEO Carl PEI, however, promised that the CPU 36 percent faster, the GPU 88 percent stronger and the NPU will be 60 percent more powerful than the predecessor Phone 2.

For the cameras, Nothing relies on a triple setup with 50 megapixels each. The already mentioned periscope telephoto is a premiere for the brand and could significantly improve zoom skills. According to previous leaks, the battery with 5150 mAh offers a greater capacity than many competitors, including even the more expensive Galaxy S25 Ultra. There are also 100W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
The 6.7-inch OLED display with LTPO technology and FHD+resolution in 20: 9 format promises a liquid display. For the first time there will also be a version with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB of memory, which according to rumors should cost around $899. Particularly gratifying for users: Nothing promises five years of OS updates for the Phone 3 and seven years of security updates-a clear progress compared to previous models and a value that can keep up with the best Android manufacturers.
This long-term support was a common criticism among the predecessors. The Nothing Phone 3 will be officially presented on July 1st at 7:00 p.m. German time, together with the company’s first over-ear headphone, the Nothing Headphone 1. For fans of unconventional smartphone designs, the wait could be worthwhile, even if the polarizing camera layout should not address everyone.
