The retail box confirms several previously speculated specifications. The GeForce RTX 5080 will feature 16 GB of VRAM paired with a 256-bit memory bus. Additionally, it will include three DisplayPort connections and one HDMI port, although the exact versions of these ports remain unspecified. No new features tied to Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture were mentioned on the packaging.
The RTX 5080 is set to officially launch on January 21, 2025. Notably, it will precede the higher-end RTX 5090, breaking away from Nvidia’s typical release strategy.
