Nvidia RTX 4010 A Budget Card For Gamers
A YouTuber was now able to buy a strange ‘GeForce’ graphics card through a Chinese online retailer, which even Nvidia probably doesn’t know anything about. What finally arrived in the mail surprised us with a pretty strong performance for the price paid.
YouTuber makes amazing find
Just a few years ago, both AMD and Nvidia sold GPUs that only had the most basic graphics capabilities. These models were used to equip computers that did not have to carry out very complex calculations. However, there are now integrated graphics units in the CPUs of PCs, so the market for low-end cards no longer exists.
Nevertheless, the YouTube channel has Budget Builds Official (via Tom’s Hardware) have now discovered such a card at a Chinese online retailer. However, this is not an old, leftover model from before, but rather a copy that, according to its name, belongs to the current generation of GPUs from Nvidia.

Origin quickly clarified
What Budget-Builds Official found was a ‘GeForce RTX 4010’. When asked, the retailer said that the card would certainly sell in China, but that it was intended for OEMs and that there was no guarantee if purchased. However, the YouTuber bought the card, which was offered for the equivalent of around 95 euros, out of pure curiosity.
What he received in the mail was a single-slot graphics unit with a simple cooler in a simple black case. The ‘RTX 4010’ is most likely a modified Nvidia RTX A400, which is actually intended for use in workstations for professional users.
Surprisingly strong performance
Although the graphics card was not recognized by the GPU-Z analysis tool used after it was installed in a PC, the program still provided some data on the supposed ‘RTX 4010’. It has 768 shader units, 4 GB of DDR6 RAM and a memory bandwidth of 96 GB/s. For comparison: The official RTX 4060, the smallest card in Nvidia’s current generation, already has around four times as many shader units.
However, as can be seen in the video, the low-end card delivers impressive performance for its price in many scenarios. The card works with the official Nvidia driver for the China-exclusive RTX 4090D. Exactly how the map was modified to make this possible remains unclear. The ‘Nvidia GeForce RTX 4010’ is still a curiosity.
