Obi-Wan Kenobi is the most-watched Disney+ original series
Obi-Wan Kenobi is having a huge success on Disney+! The return of the Jedi Master, “as wise as Yoda and as powerful as Master Windu”, attracted many people. within a weekend, Obi-Wan became the most watched Disney+ series at launch. The official Star Wars Twitter account bragged about it. Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi master who took Anakin Skywalker under his wing, is entitled to his own television series.
Determined to capitalize on the aura of Star Wars, Disney+ released the first two episodes of the series last week. The series received an excellent critical reception, despite some screenwriting facilities. Especially fans of the saga appreciated the find, Ewan McGregor, as Obi-Wani and Princess Leia at the age of 10.
Obi-Wan beats all other Disney+ series
The Star Wars series had an excellent launch on Disney+. According to the official Star Wars Twitter account, Obi-Wan Kenobi is the platform’s original series that directed the best start† “Thank you to the best fans in the galaxy for making Obi-Wan Kenobi the most-watched Disney+ original series to date worldwide, based on streaming hours over an opening weekend,” the account states. Obi-Wan, therefore, outperforms previous Star Wars series broadcast on Disney+, such as The Mandalorian or The Book of Boba Fett.
The series worn by Ewan Mcgregor also visibly outperforms the Marvel series drawn Disney+, such as WandaVision, Loki or even Hawkeye. For the record, Loki has held the title of the most popular Disney+ series to date at launch. Previously it was WandaVision, the series featuring Scarlet Witch and Vision, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As a reminder, Disney+ will not wait until Friday, June 3rd to air the 3rd episode of the Obi-Wan series. The platform will put the sequel of the adventures of the Jedi online from Wednesday 1 June.
