On Android and iOS, Threads now enables switching accounts
According to some recent pieces of information, users can now switch accounts on Threads. It can be done by long-pressing the profile picture. The new feature will be rolled out to both Android and iOS users. Meta has been continuously adding new features to Threads since its initial debut in early July.
Given the new features, Meta has debuted a web version of the app; posts, share features, and some other features are on the way. As of now, the company is going to enable users to switch between several Threads profiles on the mobile app. Well, this feature is similar to the one found on Instagram’s account-switching option. After long-pressing the profile picture, users can sign in to their preferred account.
Threads will receive support for the account-switching feature
In general, account switching is a good option for users, specifically social media influencers who manage different accounts at the same time. On Instagram, users can sign into five different accounts concurrently. There is no information on how many accounts will be supported on Threads.
In addition to this, Threads will receive an edit button. Currently, Meta is testing this feature. There are no details about its release date. With the edit option, users will be granted a five-minute timeframe to edit their content prior to publishing. In contrast, X gives a timeframe of one hour to edit the tweets.
When it comes to features, Threads is not a perfect app. The company is adding new features to improve the user experience on the app. The number of daily active users for the app has been steadily declining; in early August, there were just 10.3 million daily active Android users. An unprecedented 49.3 million daily active users were using Threads in July.
