On Android, Google Chrome’s Bookmarks bar gets a makeover
According to some recent pieces of information, the Bookmarks bar of Google Chrome is set to receive some updates. Reportedly, the Android version of Google Chrome will get a new look. Most notably, the Bookmarks bar now displays large image previews for any sites you’ve bookmarked. The new changes were spotted in Google Chrome for Android v120.
Given the new changes, bigger previews for folders and links are now available in the Bookmarks bar on Android. In addition, the recently introduced Google Chrome Bookmarks bar user interface displays blue folders for the primary bookmarks folder, mobile bookmarks, bookmarks bar, etc., in addition to displaying picture previews when available. In the past, the bookmark bar used to display bookmark icons rather than pictures.
Well, this is quite a nice upgrade; however, it has one limitation. The Bookmarks bar is unable to show more bookmarks on the screen simultaneously. However, the change is pleasant. The new UI makes it easier to locate the bookmarks. Although the new update is rolling out widely, it is still only available for the Android version of the app.
The folks at 9To5Google suggest that the user should download the latest version of the app from the Play Store to receive the new updates. The new update might begin rolling out to iOS users soon since it is already rolling out to Android users.
