On January 3, Realme might reveal the debut date of the Realme 12 Pro series

A teaser image regarding a forthcoming announcement was just shared on the social media accounts of Realme in India and Indonesia. The teaser indicates January 3 for the upcoming announcement. Interestingly, the Redmi Note 13 series is set to debut in India on January 4. So, we can expect that Realme might kind of confirm the launch date for the Realme 12 Pro series on January 3.

Given that certification platforms in Indonesia and India have already authorized the 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ devices, the Realme 12 Pro series appears to be on the verge of release. With their corresponding model numbers, RMX3840 and RMX3842, both devices have been spotted. Besides this, the smartphones have grabbed certifications from the UAE and Malaysian certification platforms.

However, there are no details about the specs of the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+, despite the fact that they have appeared on several certification listings. There are rumors that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset may be included in the Realme 12 Pro series. A 120Hz refresh rate curved-edge OLED display is anticipated for both phones.

A 32MP IMX709 telephoto camera is expected to arrive with the 12 Pro. It will offer 2x optical zoom. The 12 Pro+, on the other hand, will feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. It is expected that the Realme 12 Pro series will debut in China in Q1 2024. The Pro+ variant is expected to be priced at 2,000 yuan in the Chinese market.
