OnePlus 9 Pro Expected To Come With IP68 Waterproof Certification

As the policy of “unprotected water ingress” is prone to arguing between manufacturers and consumers, some brands have long deliberately avoided the “unpleasant” protection level certification, such as the OnePlus 8 Pro in the first half of 2020. 

Carl Pei, the company’s co-founder, and former executive, also revealed the cost of certification in this regard during an interview. However, the new products released by OnePlus in 2021 are still very hopeful to win the digital favor of IPxx.

For consumers, IP68 is a very reassuring certification program. However, the cost of obtaining certification will inevitably be apportioned to every customer.

Previously, Yijia believed that this expenditure was not necessary, but in the face of strong market demand, the company took the lead in marking this official certification number on the OnePlus 8 Pro in the first half of 2020.

Interestingly, according to MaxJmb, the OnePlus 9 Pro model, which will be launched in 2021, is also expected to obtain the IP68 waterproof and dustproof certification.

Unfortunately, the low-end OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9E models are not listed, and more details of the OnePlus 9E entry model are not yet known.
