OnePlus To Start Rolling Out Android 14 Update From September 25

OnePlus smartphones will still be able to benefit from the new Android 14 features in September. As the company announced, OxygenOS 14, which is based on the new Android version, will be distributed from September 25th.

OnePlus announces Android 14 before Google launches

This emerges from a report by Android Authority. OnePlus is the first provider to announce a launch date for Android 14 even before Google.

Samsung had also already announced that it was planning to distribute Android 14 and One UI 6.0 for Galaxy shortly, but then deleted the announcement from the website and did not give a date. However, Google has not yet given a specific schedule for the upcoming release of the final version.

Android 14 in the final version

OnePlus has now addressed this with its announcement – it is basically clear that Google can now start distributing Android 14 in the final version at any time.

OnePlus CEO Kinder Liu said: “OnePlus is committed to providing its users with fast, smooth, and stable OxygenOS. Powered by OnePlus’ latest innovations, OxygenOS 14 will be the smartest and most intuitive software product in OnePlus history .”

OnePlus says it’s a “proprietary performance platform” designed to provide “greater synergy between hardware and software.” Effectively, six different optimizations are combined in OxygenOS to provide end users with a faster experience.

It is not yet known which devices will ultimately receive the OxygenOS 14 update first. An update for the OnePlus 11 will probably appear first, but whether it will come to all users on September 25th remains to be seen.
