OnePlus Watch 3: Release Date, Specs, and Design Revealed

OnePlus has had a strong start to the year, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. Following the success of the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R, the company has officially announced its next big release: the OnePlus Watch 3.
Mark your calendars – the OnePlus Watch 3 is set to launch on Tuesday, February 18, at 8 AM ET/5 AM PT. If you’re already intrigued, you can head over to the OnePlus website to “subscribe” and register your interest. Doing so will get you $30 off the device at purchase, along with a chance to win exciting prizes like the OnePlus Pad 2 or OnePlus Buds Pro 3.
What You Can Expect From the OnePlus Watch 3
Let’s talk specs. OnePlus revealed that the OnePlus Watch 3 boasts a significant upgrade in battery life. In smart mode, it promises up to 120 hours (five days) of use—20 hours more than the previous OnePlus Watch 2. If you switch to power-saving mode, the battery life stretches even further, lasting up to an impressive 16 days on a single charge.
Another standout feature is the rotating crown. Unlike the Watch 2, where the rotating crown didn’t integrate with the software, this time you’ll be able to use it to scroll through apps and menus, much like the Apple Watch. OnePlus has confirmed this upgrade with TechRadar, making navigation smoother and more intuitive.
Design Details
The design for the OnePlus Watch 3 has also been revealed, and it’s sure to impress. The watch bears a strong resemblance to the OPPO Watch X2, but with some interesting tweaks that set it apart.
One of the most noticeable changes is the display bezel, which now includes numbers, giving the OnePlus Watch 3 a more traditional wristwatch aesthetic. This subtle detail pairs perfectly with analog watch faces for a classic vibe.
The rotating crown itself has been improved—it’s larger and features an etched pattern, making it easier to grip and rotate. Additionally, the stainless steel body from the Watch 2 has been swapped out for a titanium body, offering a premium feel while maintaining durability.

What We’re Still Waiting to Learn
While OnePlus shared plenty of exciting details, there are still questions left unanswered. Will health tracking see an upgrade over the Watch 2? Has the software experience improved meaningfully? And most importantly, will the battery life deliver on OnePlus’s bold promises?
As someone who appreciated the OnePlus Watch 2 but found it had room for improvement, I’m eager to see how the Watch 3 stacks up. Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
