OpenAI’s official ChatGPT iOS app now available in more than 40 countries

Just recently we learned that OpenAI has introduced an official ChatGPT app for the iPhone and iPad. It was initially introduced for the users of the United States and the company assured that soon it will launch in other regions of the world. As of now, the business has announced that the app is accessible to more than 40 countries.

Now, the official ChatGPT app for iPhone and iPad is available in Albania, Algeria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Estonia, France, and Germany. Moreover, Ghana, India, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Namibia, and Nauru will have access to the app. Additionally, regions like New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Qatar, Slovenia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, and the United States will also have access to the ChatGPT app.

ChatGPT is available on the web. Previously, several third-party apps were available on iOS. However, it is for the first time that OpenAI has introduced the official ChatGPT app. ChatGPT is basically an AI-based chatbot. It utilizes generative artificial intelligence to answer queries and provide suggestions on different matters. According to OpenAI, ChatGPT can help users with answering queries, creative suggestions, tailored advice, professional feedback, and learning opportunities.

Moreover, the app also syncs with the user’s history. Thus, providing a better experience both on the web and on iOS devices. In addition to this, it is integrated with the Whisper speech recognition system. The official ChatGPT app is free to use. However, the ChatGPT Plus services require $19.99 per month. One thing to notice here is that the Plus service is powered by GPT-4 which is believed to be the advanced version of ChatGPT.

Simply create an OpenAI account before using the official ChatGPT app. The app can be downloaded from the App Store.
