OPPO and Nokia sign a global patent cross-license agreement

According to some recent pieces of information, Oppo and Nokia have signed a global patent cross-license agreement. With the new patent agreement, the two companies have finally resolved a long-standing legal issue. According to the deal, patents relevant to 5G and other cellular communication technologies will be shared. The news regarding the patent agreement was shared by Oppo itself.

With effect from now on, any outstanding legal matters in all countries will be settled by both parties, according to a press release from OPPO. Previously, OnePlus and Oppo were restricted from continuing their sales in several European countries, like Germany. With the recent developments, both companies can now begin their sales.

Although neither company has made an official statement on the matter, we assume that this change would bode well for the availability of the newly released OnePlus 12 and the OPPO Find X7 Ultra in areas that were previously impacted by the legal dispute between OPPO and Nokia. In addition to this, Oppo can even launch its latest smartphones in the US.
